Serving Our Troops once again served it up for our men and women of the Minnesota National Guard along with their family and friends at the Saint Paul Rivercentre.

On May 17th, 2014 nearly 3,000 friends, family members and soldiers from the Minnesota National Guard gathered for the official deployment ceremony of the Saint Paul based 34th Combat Aviation Brigade and 2-147th Assault Helicopter Battalion.  During their 1 year deployment to Kuwait these brave men and women will  support Operation Enduring Freedom and will be responsible for providing Aviation Mission Command and aviation support throughout Kuwait and the surrounding region.

The Serving Our Troops team comprised of dedicated sponsors and volunteers from across Minnesota was proud to host this event, our 10th of its kind since 2004.   In addition to serving up a first class steak meal with all the trimmings, cold beverages, greetings from special guests, and free tickets to the Science Museum of Minnesota and the Minnesota Children's Museum, it was most importanly a message of appreciation on behalf of a community to our soldiers and their family. members.
